Both posts are based at CHART LSP Office, 394 Sheffield Road, Chesterfield and at sites across Bolsover and North East Derbyshire Districts.

The Bolsover North East Derbyshire Local Action Group (LAG) has been allocated £3.2 million to run a LEADER funding programme until December 2013, as part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE). NEDDC seeks to employ two officers on behalf of the LAG to manage the LEADER programme, which focuses on supporting and developing rural business and enterprise, farm diversification, encouraging tourism, and conserving rural heritage and culture.
LEADER Programme Officer – Responsible for managing the LEADER Programme, the Officer must oversee publicity, training, events, support to applicants, project development, monitoring, evaluation and funding allocations. They will be the main point of contact with the local community and funding agencies, and have primary management responsibility for the LEADER/LSP Finance & Monitoring Officer.
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of operating grant funding systems, an ability to develop funding packages, bids and regeneration projects, and experience in the compilation, analysis and presentation of complex information, including financial and statistical data.
LEADER/LSP Finance & Monitoring Officer – Reporting to the Programme Officer and LSP Co-ordinator, the officer is responsible for maintaining financial records for the LEADER programme, undertaking monitoring, preparing claims, arranging reimbursements, and
supporting the work of the LAG. In addition, the role will support the performance management and internal operations of CHART LSP, which includes supporting its communications work.
Able to devise, implement, monitor and evaluate administrative systems, the postholder will be required to develop and implement effective systems, have good organisational skills and ability to work to tight timescales, and have the written communication skills to produce good quality materials for a variety of purposes (publicity leaflets, short reports, information bulletins, letters and minutes).
