RISE is making sure that social enterprises thrive in South West England. Covering the maternity leave of our Director of Enterprise and Projects, we need somebody who knows social enterprise inside-out, with experience of working at a senior level within this field.

After a 12-month period of consultation with the 3rd Sector, Defra's Third Sector Strategy was launched on 3/11/08. A key commitment we made was to build better partnerships with the sector and one mechanism for doing this will be the establishment of a new ‘Third Sector Advisory Board'. This will succeed and build on the work of Defra's Compact Group and have a broader remit. We aim to appoint up to 15 members from the whole breadth of the sector.
