Time Credits developed by Spice, are credits that thank people for volunteering and participating locally, the credits can be use to access local activities, services and events. This dramatically increases local participation (see: www.justaddspice.org). You will project manage the integration of time credits into 4 schools and local community organisations, by supporting local workers, by line-managing school staff and overseeing the project budget.

Community Development Exchange (CDX)
Salary: £29,236 - £32,800 (NJC Scale points 35-39)

The Communications Officer will implement CDX’s communication and information strategy to support community development practitioners and policy makers; the post holder will provide up to date sources of information about events, publications and research related to community development, using a variety of social media methods as well as through the CDX magazine, publications and events.

The Policy Officer will provide policy support including managing and producing up to date information/research on community development policy and practice which reflects the needs and interests of our membership, as well as promoting community development by developing key messages to influence policy and decision makers through targeted campaigning and lobbying.

In partnership with Sheffield Hallam University, we are doing a Research Project exploring the gateways and barriers to learning English in the Pakistani Community. The Research Assistant will be a Pakistani woman, with fluent spoken English and Urdu Punjabi, excellent written communication skills, initiative and the ability to undertake research. Full training will be given.
