A new online exhibition featuring over 150 pieces of artwork by celebrities to raise awareness of the difficult journeys vulnerable young children make in their lives has been launched.

Action for Children, the charity behind the display, invited famous names to illustrate their own transformational experiences to help inspire youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Participants include singer Rod Stewart, former tennis player Tim Henman, presenter Chris Tarrant, and comedian Jo Brand.

Boxer Amir Khan, who also took part, said: ‘I’ll never forget what a difference boxing has made to my life – I’m so passionate about the sport which is why I’ve opened my own club to help give youngsters the same opportunities I had as a lad.

‘I hope it will provide kids in the area with a place to hang out, get fit and keep out of trouble.’

Action for Children supports vulnerable youngsters across the UK, including people with disabilities, children in care, young offenders and those that are homeless.
